Flintobox Success Story – Mrs. Archana

The Story – Aiming to provide a gadget-free childhood for her son, Mrs. Archana figured the right means to engage him.

Mrs. Archana was finding it hard to spend time with her son Aarav.

She and her husband “didn’t want to send him to a play school” since he was just 2 years old.

The Challenge – Even so, “we were sure we wouldn’t be able to engage him all through the day.

As a teacher myself, I wanted to make use of the time we spend together in the most effective manner”, says Mrs. Archana.

As she explains, we wanted to “bring him up the way our parents did years back”, “fully gadget-free.

Knowing the difficulty of the task before hand, “I quit my job just to be with him” and make sure of a gadget-free upbringing.

But gadgets, having become an inseparable part of our daily routines, didn’t make things easy for Mrs. Archana.

As she explains, “this busy city life is a hurdle” to even the concept of restricting gadgets let alone dreaming a gadget-free childhood.

It seemed it’d take more than just herself to make sure that little Aarav was engaged and raised in a gadget-free environment.

She decided to choose an ally for the fight.

The Turning Point – “Flintobox was an option we could easily consider.

Flintobox came as a gift for his birthday” and quickly proved to be more than just the regular ribbon packed present.

Now, with the added advantage of having the right set of activities apart from her own self, Mrs. Archana saw her dream of a gadget-free childhood for little Aarav slowly pick up.

As Mrs. Archana explains, there were “a lot of stick-on games coming with” the box, which easily retained the interests of little Aarav.

The Result – With the combination of fun & education, Flintobox “did its job quite well.

There were “new games every month” that were more than just a means of engagement.

As Mrs. Archana explains, the activities were “education with fun” and “quite innovative.

Asked if she’d recommend Flintobox, Mrs. Archana replied, “Yes, most likely. It could be an alternative to modern play school.
