Materials
- Paper cups – 6
- Marker
- Pencil
- Straw/stick
Instructions for Creative Mathematician Math Cups Activity:
- Using a marker, write numbers 0-9 on two paper cups and 1-6 on two of them — close to the edge of the cup.
- Write ‘=’ on a paper cup and on the other, write mathematical symbols (+, -, x, etc)
- Using a pencil, create a hole in the middle of all the paper cups.
- Insert the paper cups through the straw!

This activity is a great way to practise some maths problems in a playful way. Play a game by setting up a maths equation on the math cups for your child and have them solve the equation.
