- Cardboard
- Bottle caps
- Sheet of paper
- Glue
- Sketch pen
- A pair of scissors

How to make
- Using a ruler, draw the points by marking them with dots and space them equally on the cardboard with a sketch pen.
- With the help of your child, apply glue and stick the bottle caps on the points marked.
- Cut out small strips from the sheet and write down different addition equations.
Your game board is ready!
How to play
- Give your child one of the strips and and the yarn.
- Encourage them to group the caps based on the numbers given on the strip.
- Once they are done grouping, they can tie the knot on the total/sum of the numbers.
Having fun already?
You can further make it more colourful by encouraging your child to finger paint the caps in different colour paints. Make it a two player game complete with scores. The person with the maximum number of correct answers wins!
Addition using the grouping technique is an effective way of learning and one, which also improves your child’s logical reasoning abilities. And string and typing the yarn around the caps exercises their fine motor muscles.
